The beginning of it is all G chord. I used the acoustic with an Ebow(also a new gift and its first appearance on a recording) for a few sounds. Mic'd up my door and shut it to get the kick/slam sound that goes with the claps. Brushes on the drums always turn out nicer that regular sticks for me - softer is better if you don't have a great room - I'm guessing.
Here is a little riff I recorded starting with the Yamaha Eterna then cutting to the Epiphone AJ500RE - and then back a forth a few times until they are panned opposite and play together for a split second. The Eterna was $95 at a pawn shop a few years ago - it's yamaha's bottom of the line. The Epiphone is made of all real woods by a human being. A pair of Rode NT5 microphones in xy 6" from the soundhole did the job.
Another comparison of the Epiphone AJ500RE and Yamaha Eterna. The Epiphone goes the first four measure and the Yamaha gets the second four - until it starts over and they reverse.
My friend Ian and I played a bit a few months ago...dang, it could have been almost a year now. He lives in California and I, in Arizona, so we don't play much anymore. I think I was rocking SooperLooper at the time. Just a little improv session.
