Here is a little riff I recorded starting with the Yamaha Eterna then cutting to the Epiphone AJ500RE - and then back a forth a few times until they are panned opposite and play together for a split second. The Eterna was $95 at a pawn shop a few years ago - it's yamaha's bottom of the line. The Epiphone is made of all real woods by a human being. A pair of Rode NT5 microphones in xy 6" from the soundhole did the job. The Epiphone is much easier to play, more responsive and has a radiant and balanced sound, whereas the Eterna is heavy in the middle frequencies and choked sounding in contrast. I wish I would have gotten this thing years ago!
