Thanks for this! I've been always thinking of doing my own templates but usually I'm too lazy. Went through your video and it didn't take me more than 15 minutes to setup my own perfect template.
You've probably saved 1/5th of my life :)

Hi Sam, I found this video through gearslutz and wanted to thanks you so much for making it! i found myself many times throughout going "Oh so THAT's what that button is for!!" Great explanations for everything!I've found that another cool shortcut is changing the shortcut menu to map out cut or crossfade tools to specific keys- now whenever i want to chop i just hit "/" and voila!Thanks again! Building your own acoustic panels	There comes a point in your amateur/semi-professional recording/producing career when hanging blankets from the walls, filling a room with random objects or egg crates don't do the trick. You need sound treatment that actually does the job and doesn't take up too much room. The treatment will need to smooth out the horrible bass problems, imaging problems and other things that will cause you problems when mixing and recording. These problems get worse for smaller rooms. Basements have especially bad bass problems. In certain spots you will get buildup or cancellation of frequencies which will influence your ears and microphones - which can be bad. Setting up your studio	For the past 20 years, the common man has been able to record multi-track audio with relative ease. We've gone from 4 track tape recorder to computer interfaces that can handle massive amounts of simultaneous input. Join the ranks of people who make audio engineers and studio owners weep. With some money and some perseverance you can record yourself and your friends. Don't kid yourself, it's not going to sound technically AMAZING, but if you have great songs it doesn't really matter. And really, you don't even have to be great, you just need to have fun.
Creating and cleaning your own samples in Logic	So you're creating a sampled and layered instrument. Maybe it's a drumkit or a set of bells. In my case I sat at my drumkit and recorded all microphones. I hit the snare from very soft to very loud. I then did the same for every other drum.
